Today, we reached another milestone. The guys are working in wet conditions but are pretty stoic in spite of the weather. They’re pouring the concrete to form the basement floor. They’ve already finished installing the steel rebars.

There will be six concrete trucks in total today. Then the guys will let the concrete form and set.

I’ll add more to this post later. I’ve got a video of the groundworks team pouring the slab.

I took the pictures above within the hour. The guys are now working on the steel re-bars for the basement wall that will be encased before they pour the concrete to form the inner wall of the basement that backs on to the Sika Waterproof Membrane, which in turn is backed by the secant pile. Amazing work all round and no evidence of water ingress so far.
